It has been announced on Twitter that the third season of Epic League is coming this March and it will have a $100,000 prize pool. The competition will see 16 top European and CIS Dota 2 teams go head-to-head March 2 - 21. As of present, however, it has not been revealed which teams have been invited to participate, but the tournament organiser has said that this information will be revealed shortly.
Season 2 of the Epic League took place last December and it ended up becoming the most viewed Dota 2 tournament of 2020 and the fourth most viewed competition for the game overall. The event attracted a total of 30 million views with more than 700 million minutes of broadcasting in Russia alone. In the end it was Virtus.pro that ended up defeating opponents OG 3:2 and taking home the grand prize.
