2 Milly going ahead with Fortnite legal claim

And it looks like he's not the first person to take umbrage.

Fortnite developer Epic Games seems to be having problems with the long arm of the law lately. Just last month rapper 2 Milly expressed his dissatisfaction at the use of his signature moves in the game. As it turned out, Epic Games hadn't asked the musician for permission to use the dance and, therefore, there's a question mark over the legality of the money earned by using his work.

As a result, 2 Milly has decided to sue Epic Games, and see if he can't get some kind of compensation. What's more, it appears as though the company's legal troubles don't end there. The law firm that's representing 2 Milly (Pierce Bainbridge) also represents Lenwood 'Skip' Hamilton.

"This isn't the first time that Epic Games has brazenly misappropriated the likeness of African-American talent," the law firm said in a statement. "Our client Lenwood 'Skip' Hamilton is pursuing similar claims against Epic for use of his likeness in the popular 'Cole Train' character in the Gears of Wars video game franchise."

Will Epic have to bust out its wallet next time they want to bust out some new moves?
