The Kickstarter campaign for Mighty No. 9 secured a total of $3,845,170 developer Comcept (well above the target of $900,000) proving players all over the world were craving a new Mega Man adventure.
The rights the that series still belong to Capcom, but Mighty No. 9, developed by Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune is the next best thing. It's a spiritual successor if there ever was one, and the development seems to be moving along nicely.
Just last week Comcept revealed an additional funding campaign aimed at securing additional features, along with the reveal of a Mighty No. 9 animated TV-series. In addition they just these three fresh trailers, demonstrating the game's basic controls:
