343i insists "Cortana is not nude" in Halo 5

"It's like the opposite of that nightmare you have where you go to school in the nude."

After five main entries, several spin-offs, films and and an in-depth Gamereactor retrospective, the Halo series custodians have waited until after the launch of Halo 5: Guardians to undress a pretty revealing truth: why the AI from both the shooter franchise and a Windows device near you, is completely starkers. Or perhaps, how she's really not, depending if you believe what 343i has to say on the matter.

"She's not really nude ... but that's what it makes you think of," 343 Industries' franchise director Frank O'Connor said to Gamesradar. "So one of the reasons she [chooses to appear without clothes] is to attract and demand attention. And she does it to put people off so that they're on their guard when talking to her and she has the upper hand in those conversations."

And if that leaves you unconvinced, there's an even more disturbing reversed example:

"It's kind of almost like the opposite of that nightmare you have where you go to school in the nude," O'Connor said. "You're terrified and embarrassed and she's kind of projecting that back out to her audience and winning intellectual points as a result."

So there it is, her hidden strategy to put people on guard has been revealed. The question is, do you think Master Chief could employ the same tactics in order to confuse enemies?
