UK retailer GameStop has reduced the price of its 3D hardware on its official site to £134.97.
The price drop, which is being offered only for the Black version of the unit (the Aqua Blue is still £199.97), comes ahead of the expected official price drop of the system expected on August 12.
While Nintendo has left the new RRP in the hands of retailers, it'll be interesting to see if the £140 price point - sixty pounds or more of the original pricing - becomes the new standard for the system, or if GameStop are attempting to fan a brief sales spike in the opening week of the price reduction by discounting even further.
