505 Games has promised fans that the company is prioritising work on the continued optimisation of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, after fans on Nintendo Switch complained of performance issues following the game's release on that platform.

In a post shared over on Kickstarter, community manager Jason Ryan confirmed that the studio had heard player concerns (you only need to head over to Reddit to see the extent of the issue) and was looking to prioritise further optimisation of the Switch version of the game, after that version's most recent update didn't improve performance as much as desired.

"Throughout the QA process we have been addressing performance issues in the game. Update 1.01 was published to Switch prior to launch to add content and improve performance. It did not accomplish as much as we had hoped and we need to do more," Ryan wrote.

"To address the concerns brought up by the community we are immediately shifting resources to improve performance and stability for the Switch. You can expect a number of small updates that will improve different areas of the game rather than waiting longer for one big update. We will have more details as we dive into the work."

We're still playing Igarashi's newest adventure and our review will be with you in due course.
