After having captivated audiences all around the world last year on mobile, Inkle Studios' 80 Days (which received four nominations at the BAFTAs and three at the IGF awards) will debut on PC and Mac on September 29.

It's going to be a completely updated version full of new content. On the same day as the PC/Mac release, the mobile version will also receive the same huge update.

If you don't know 80 Days, it's a fascinating narrative-driven game, as well as an adaptation of Around the World in Eighty Days - the famous novel by Jules Verne - where players assume the role of Passepartout, the French waiter of Londoner Phileas Fogg. Your responsibilities are to monitor the finances, health and more of your master, and, of course, to successfully travel around the world in 80 days.

Among the changes introduced in this new version will be more than thirty new cities, plenty of additional writing, and two new plots. The game has been improved by a huge graphical overhaul thanks to Unity 5 engine, with new colour and shading effects, and a global day/night cycle.

To mark the announcement, Inkle Studios has released a new trailer that you can see below. 80 Days will be available on Steam, GOG, and Humble on September 29.
