A Christmas Carol is Frostpunk's new free update

With Christmas just around the corner, 11 bit Studios has announced a new free update for Frostpunk, suitably titled A Christmas Carol to fit the time period, and it'll come as no surprise to hear that it adds Christmas elements within the Endless Mode.

"In the neverending winter of the late 19th century, humanity's last survivors are desperately trying to build the foundation of a society capable of surviving the endless deep freeze," the official description reads. "In the darkest of times, what they truly need is a little bit of hope — a tiny piece of home in a world far away from the home they remember. The holidays draw near, and the survivors come to you, the leader of this frozen hellscape to ask for 'A Christmas Carol' to cheer them up."

This update is available right now to spice things up for the holidays, like the ghost of Christmas part appearing, for example, and of course Christmas trees. Will you be able to keep your folks alive during the holidays?
