Assassin's Creed Odyssey hit store shelves last Friday, and while one report did say that retail sales were down compared to last year's game, the actual concurrent player count on Steam appears to be much, much higher.
In fact, GitHyp reports that Odyssey has set a new record with regards to concurrent player counts on Steam, as the game has garnered 62,000 concurrent users on Steam, a 33% increase over Assassin's Creed Origins last year, which held the record of 41,000.
While this doesn't specifically mean that the game can be deemed a success, it does tell us that the PC version has surpassed its predecessor, which is at least something. If you're playing on Xbox One X though, you might be interested to hear that the resolution at its lowest is higher than the highest resolution on PS4 Pro.
