Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will be released on January 18, 2019, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This latest entry in the long-running dogfighting series will be getting the special treatment on PC. In collaboration with Nvidia, then, the publisher has revealed that the title will be able to run natively in 4K, potentially up to 8K (via a resolution scaler).

But that's not all, we also learned in the interview with Ace Combat 7's director Kazutoki Kono that the frame-rate will not be locked in the PC version. This means that the fluidity will be as high as your computer allows and not limited to 30 or 60 frames-per-second. Suffice to say that owners of very high-end PCs will be treated to quite the visual spectacle early next year.
