There has been a lot of news on Activision Blizzard this week, as just yesterday we found out that Bungie and its shooter Destiny had broken off from the company, and now they've revealed three new leadership appointments.

Call of Duty Executive Vice President and General Manager Rob Kostich is now President of Activision as part of this move, while Humam Sakhnini is President of King Digital Entertainment, and Dennis Durkin is President of Activision Blizzard's Emerging Businesses, as well as being Chief Financial Officer.

"Rob, Humam, Dennis and J. exemplify our deep bench of operational and commercial leadership. These capable and seasoned executives have shown unwavering commitment to our company, our employees, and our beloved community of fans around the world," said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard. "With these proven, principled leaders at the helm, we will continue to invest in the strategic growth drivers of our business; our talented people, and creating the world's best videogames, live services, mobile experiences, and new and growing franchise engagement models."

As you may know, J. Allen Brack is now President of Blizzard Entertainment too, after Mike Morhaime stepped down, and now GamesIndustry.biz reports that Morhaime will even step down from his advisory position in April, according to a securities exchange filing. April 7 is the specific date mentioned, which is when he will no longer be strategic advisor, 28 years after he founded Blizzard.

Right now a lot of things are happening at Activision Blizzard's higher levels, and it remains to be seen what happens in 2019, especially with Bungie jumping ship as well, and others like Blizzard CFO Amrita Ahuja moving to Square Inc.
