The Rainbow Six Pro League Year 2 Season 3 finals will be taking place in São Paulo, Brazil this weekend, pitting the best teams from four regions against one another for the chance to become grand champions, and to prepare you for the occasion here's all you need to know about the competition.
The graphic below shows when each match will be played over Saturday November 18 and Sunday November 19, all of which is in BRST (two hours behind GMT, three behind CET), and both are action-packed days. You'll notice as well that on Sunday there's an Operation: White Noise reveal, which will give us more details on the two South Korean Operators, and the second Polish Operator as well, not to mention the brand new map, Mok Myeok Tower.
All games will be played in the best-of-three system, and since the first tournament matches are quarter-finals anyway, a loss means elimination, so teams have to be very careful, as everything's at risk. In regards to the bracket, you can see a graphic for this down below, so you can chart who may or may not face each other in the competition.
A lot of people will have high hopes for EU side Penta Sports, who many consider as the favourites due to their success in the Pro League before, but fellow EU side Ence Esports are also contenders. NA teams Evil Geniuses (who were known as Continuum until very recently) could also impress at the competition, much like fellow NA side 1nFamy.
Considering the event is set in Brazil, though, the local teams aren't to be written off, and with the home advantage Black Dragons (who got first place in the South American league) and Team Fontt may well be forces to be reckoned with, especially since they've also done well in past competitions.
APAC teams are often underestimated too, but teams would be foolish to go in overconfident against Japanese team eiNs or South Korean team Mantis FPS, who have both had tremendous success at home.
All matches will be streamed on Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube, and the winners will get their share of the $275,000 USD prize pool, as well as a coveted position at the Six Invitational in February.
Who do you think will emerge victorious?
