The Swedish esports organisation Alliance has announced that it has made some changes to its Apex Legends roster. Going into the Apex Legends Global Series Season 2 Pro League, the team will no longer be fielding Kha "iPN" Nguyen, who was benched last week, and instead will be running Oscar "Yuki" Jiang as a third, to star alongside Simon "Vaifs" Bellini and team captain John "Hakis" Håkansson.
"I've always looked up to Alliance. Joining them has always been a goal of mine and I wouldn't be surprised if I woke up tomorrow for it to only be a dream," said Yuki. "Fighting alongside one of the best duos in the game is something I don't take for granted. I'm extremely thankful for Alliance welcoming me into this experience, and my eagerness to begin playing with them can't be held back any longer. The only journey is the one within, where Hakis, Vaifs and me are going right to the core. Look out."
The Season 2 Pro League will start in October, meaning the three have over a month to practice and prepare for competition with this tweaked line-up.
Talking about the matter, team manager Pontus Bengtsson said, "Changes are always hard, we had a good run with iPN and he will always be my brother. However I am extremely thrilled to get Yuki to Alliance, I think we have a title contending squad on our hands for the new Season and I can't wait to give our fans a lot of success this season!"
