News just broke that developer Lilith has cancelled the Kickstarter campaign for the P.T. (Silent Hills) inspired Allison Road. While the campaign was struggling a bit, over £100,000 of the needed £250,000 was still missing with 9 days remaining, the reason for its cancellation is actually very positive as Lilith have signed a publishing deal with Team 17.

"Working with Team17 will give us the chance to make our game unhindered creatively, but at the same time will give us the resources, support and experience that only a 25 year old studio can give."

The developer also promised backers (whose pledges will obviously not count, and no money will be transferred) that the rewards they pledged towards will be made available in some way.

Prior to this the latest development, Lilith did post some new artworks, pointing towards outdoor environments.

"The story really lends itself to a setting a lot bigger than simply the house, so we tried to come up with something that really is in stark contrast to the claustrophobia you will feel when you are inside."

When you are in the house, all you want to do is get out.
When you are out, all you want to do is to get back to the 'safety' of the house."

You can see the images right here, as well as take a look at a 10 minute gameplay.
