Amazon has blocked its customers from being able to buy certain games direct from the retailer without Prime membership. The service, which grants you next day delivery on items (along with a myriad of other services), costs £79 per year.

Customers have noted that the PS4 versions of GTAV, Rainbow Six: Siege, and Assassin's Creed: Syndicate now all require Prime in order to be purchased, along with the Xbox One versions of FIFA 16, Far Cry Primal, Battlefield: Hardline. These games are not purchasable in any way unless you have a Prime membership.

Amazon Prime has been getting much bigger in recent months, with their video streaming library getting much more content as of late. Impressive growth indicates that the retailer feels confident in gating off certain items.

Luckily, this doesn't mean that you can't buy the same games from third-party sellers on the site, who will no doubt be seeing more traffic now that Amazon has implemented this new rule.
