American McGee working on "design, art, and story" for Alice 3

American McGee's Alice games take the tales of Alice in Wonderland and put a unique twist on it, turning it more into a horror experience than a lovely little fairytale. We already knew that McGee wants to make Alice 3, and if you've been waiting for this sequel then the developer has good news for you, as he has revealed on his blog that he's worked on some ideas and that you can support his efforts.

This third game is codenamed Alice: Asylum and McGee says he is "hard at work on design, art, and story for the next chapter in Alice's adventures." What's more is that we also find out that this is set before the first game, with the young protagonist "fighting through the trauma of losing her family."

McGee asks for support by signing the mailing list and following him on social media, but there's also a Patreon page for Asylum and official merchandise to purchase. Regarding the Patreon, this is where McGee will share updates and pre-production content like art and planning. Backer rewards also include the White Rabbit Collector Set too.

The official video from American McGee below was released last summer to give us a taste of where Asylum will take us, but below that we've also included some early artwork he's shared already on the project.
