Anno 1800 has biggest launch in the series

Ubisoft has revealed that Anno 1800 - the latest strategy game in the franchise that launched earlier this month - is the fastest-selling entry the series has seen, selling four times more than the last title Anno 2205 got in its first week.

We also get a lot of impressive figures courtesy of a new infographic below, as players have already gathered almost 7 billion citizens (over three times the global population in 1899), building 10 million ships, 1 billion grain fields, and settling on over 3 million islands.

Before release we spoke to some of the team in London, who told us that Ubisoft went "all in" to get community involved with Anno 1800. This shows, as more than 160 blogs have been published, 15,000 comments posted, and five community contests organised thus far.
