Performance on both consoles is all about the visuals, although never say never when it comes to 60 FPS.

Bioware's Anthem is exactly one month away from launching on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and if you're warming up your PS4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles for some high-performance gameplay, we have some news that might be of interest to you.

A fan recently took to Twitter to ask if Anthem would run at 1080p and 60 FPS on the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X, and executive producer Mike Gamble said that despite the game supporting 4K on both platforms, this frame-rate won't be guaranteed.

The reason, as Gamble later explains, is because the team has preferred to give priority to the game's visuals, although he doesn't rule out that support for 60 FPS can be introduced later. He also added that the team are looking into cross save and crossplay features.

If you need more on the game to keep you going while we wait another month, you might want to hear about Javelins, customisation, and progression, which has all recently been shown off.

Is this news a blow for you?

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"It engages and entertains even if it is a rather distilled and disjointed experience compared to the studio's usual work."
