Anthem is getting consistently update since its launch last month, and now we know what's landing in 1.04 today, with server downtime starting at 13:30 GMT. The notes have been posted on Reddit by BioWare, and they address some big concerns players have expressed online.

Changes have been made to the game's loot drop system, for example, including a chance to find additional items and crafting materials when playing through Anthem's various game modes including Freeplay, Strongholds, and Missions. Higher difficulty bosses will also drop more loot with this update, and there are chances to grab additional masterwork and legendary items.

A few major features have also been introduced to try and add replay value once the core content has been completed. Players can now replay critical path missions at a much higher difficulty, with one mission being chosen and rotated out each day. Although a one mission type limit is in place, there is no cap on the amount of times you can replay the daily mission.

Alongside these core changes lie a gigantic list of bug fixes, which range from platform-specific issues to broader updates to the game's balance. If you're interested in the full patch notes though, these can be viewed here.

Are you happy with the changes made?

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"It engages and entertains even if it is a rather distilled and disjointed experience compared to the studio's usual work."
