Age of Empires: Definitive Edition will be remastering the original game in the very popular strategy series, and given that the release date isn't long away, fans have been asking Microsoft what PC stores they can expect the game on, to which Microsoft has responded on their official forums:

"We've chosen to release "Age of Empires: Definitive Edition" exclusively in the Windows Store and we're excited about what that entails, including tons of Xbox Live goodness (achievements, cloud saves, multiplayer on the fastest, more reliable gaming network and more)."

It's not unreasonable to think the game will be published on Steam later, though, because other titles such as Age of Empires III, Age of Empires II HD, and Age of Mythology are available on Valve's platform, but it's safe to say not everyone is pleased to hear that the game is a Windows Store exclusive.

Age of Empires: Definitive Edition is expected on October 19 on PC. Do you mind that it's a Windows Store exclusive?
