There has been a lot of buzz around Respawn Entertainment's Apex Legends recently, as it was only launched yesterday after a reveal livestream, meaning players can see if their take on the battle royale genre is a unique one.

A lot has been discussed already, but one detail that slipped through the cracks for many is the roadmap that was shared in the deep dive video below, at around the 5:38 mark:

Here we can see the plans for the seasons of content coming to the game, the first of which starts now and incudes the Battle Pass, a seasonal scheme like Fortnite "that rewards players with exclusive cosmetic items. These rewards are a mix of exclusive seasonal cosmetics and Apex Packs. Every player can unlock some of these items each season through normal play; those who choose to purchase the Battle Pass can earn everything available that season, around 100 different rewards," according to the official FAQ.

Season 2 is coming and June, while Season 3 starts in September before Season 4 in December, so it's already clear that Respawn has long-term plans for the project, especially if new cosmetic items are coming in to keep things fresh. We may even see limited-time modes and map changes, similar to other games in the genre.

In the FAQ we also find out that content earned in the Battle Pass is yours to keep forever, and that Legends won't be included in the Battle Pass.

It makes sense for Respawn to commit fully to this game though, as we found out that this took the place of Titanfall 3, which isn't in development. It's proved popular as a concept already though, as a million players took to the game within eight hours of launch.

Can you see yourself sticking with this?
