Ubisoft has detailed what new content we can expect in Assassin's Creed Odyssey this month as we await the first DLC episode, Legacy of the Blade (first chapter planned for December).

Some new content and changes arrived with patch 1.06 that also brought the first free questline in the Lost Tales of Greece series - The Show Must Go On. The second such questline, Divine Intervention, will see you "meet a mysterious woman who will test your qualities through several divine trials". No exact date has been given, but it is expected later this month. There's also more Epic Quests and new gear coming to the game, but the biggest change is the fact that the level cap will be raised from 50 to 70 for all players. In other words, it's not tied to buying DLC. Any extra XP you've earned beyond level 50 will count towards your next level(s). Whether Ubisoft plans on expanding the skill tree at the same time remains to be seen. Another new feature is that a "visual customisation system" that lets you personalise your appearance will be added in a future update.

Finally, a new mythological creature, Steropes the Cyclops, will arrive in-game on November 13. A quest called Lightning Bringer will appear in your quest log as you'll want to seek out this high-level challenge in his lair in order to potentially gain a Legendary Bow for your efforts.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey
Steropes is another Cyclops, but the open space should prove a different sort of challenge.
