When Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection came out, there was a lot of controversy due to a rather poor looking NPC that was used in comparison shots between the original Assassin's Creed 2 and the new remastered version. Ubisoft has since clarified that particular NPC is only present in Sequence 1, Memory 1 of the game, both in the original version and the remastered edition.
Still, Ubisoft decided it was for the best to get rid of the poor ugly character for good in a new patch for Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection, with the patch notes claiming "a weird NPC face" has been fixed. So long strange looking NPC, and thank's for the laughs.
