Astral Chain is due for release on August 30, and while that's only a few days away, Nintendo has provided a 34-minute demo of the upcoming title at Gamescom this year, with game director Takahisa Taura providing insight into what's in store for players.

Here we get a good look at PlatinumGames' project that lets you control two characters at once during action-packed gameplay, featuring character designs from manga artist Masakazu Katsura and supervision from Bayonetta 2's director Hideki Kamiya.

What's more is that this marks the debut of an unseen area and brand new enemies as well, so it's worth a watch if you're looking forward to the upcoming Switch game.

REVIEW. Written by Magnus Laursen

"The story is interesting, the inspiration well-chosen, and the ambition commendable - and the game is helped a lot by a rich gallery of charismatic characters."
