Danish esports organisation Astralis has announced that it has extended the contract of Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander for the next three years. Known for his role as the team's in-game leader, Gla1ive will remain with the team until the Summer of 2021 at the very least.

"I am Astralis by heart and no matter how I look at it I feel home here," said Gla1ve. "It's an organization that always strives to develop the game and the players - and it's ingrained in everyone that we compete to win the biggest titles."

Gla1ve has been part of the Astralis organisation for years, winning countless Majors and S-Tier events. This extension will look to see the continuation of that success.

"He is without a doubt the best at what he does and during our contract negotiations it really hit me how hungry he still is to compete," said Kasper Hvidt, director of sport at Astralis. "We have come far with the team but in regards to how we work both in- and outside the server, we still have a lot to improve on. But Lukas thinks about and approaches Counter-Strike on a completely different level and we will see a lot more of that soon."
