Astralis has been making quite a few changes to its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster over the year. Not only was Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz acquired by Ninjas in Pyjamas, but the team re-signed Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth, tying the pair to the organisation until 2024 and 2025 respectively.

Now, as several of its members contracts begin to come to their end, Astralis has brought on a few new members, in Benjamin "blameF" Bremer and Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, who are joining to replace Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, Emil "Magisk" Reif, and Danny "zonic" Sørensen.

Revealed in a blog post, the choice to make this change now was mentioned.

"We now choose to advance the planned change: To eliminate the insecurities and ensure the clarity and focus, we need to create the best possible conditions for everybody on and around the team. We add two world-class players and a new, strong coach profile who all bring a lot of energy and motivation to build on the strong Astralis legacy and to be a contender for the biggest titles again."

On top of this, Astralis has also brought on a new head coach, Alexander "ave" Holdt, who will officially be joining the team at a later date, while the players are active now.

With these changes in mind, Astralis will be fielding its extended stars, as well as these new additions in the BLAST Premier: Fall Finals that will begin in a couple of weeks.
