Rovio, makers of the insanely successful Angry Birds franchise, are looking to regain some growth with the release of Bad Piggies today on iOS, Max, and Android.
In a report by Finnish YLE, Alekstra analyst Tero Kuittinen said:
"Rovio needs a big hit. Over the past two months, the company's ability to take in revenue has severely diminished."
The analyst also concluded that the release of Amazing Alex failed to have any longterm effect. Rovio is still valued at somewhere between €5-9 billion, but they have been growing their employees and offices as of late, with a Stockholm office being the most recent addition.
