FC Barcelona are one of the best football teams in the world, but they also have a presence in esports as well, picking up a Rocket League team back in April of this year, consisting of Yanis 'Alpha54' Champenois, Dan 'Bluey' Bluett, and David 'Deevo' Morrow.

The team has also revealed that those who want to see this Rocket League side in action can do so on July 20 - this Saturday - at the Gliwice Arena in Poland, where the team will take on Piast Gliwice Esports. Piast Gliwice is the first football team in Poland to show commitment to esports, so it's a big moment for both sides.

Barcelona's own esports team has had a fair amount of success since signing, as they reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup in New Jersey, and came second place in the Championship Series (RLCS) Europe.

Will we see more sports teams move into esports?

"Matches often descend into violent ramming attacks and opportunistic goal poaching. It doesn't matter though; it's all fun and games."
