It's no secret that Battleborn hasn't been as popular as Gearbox Software and 2K Games wanted it to be. They tried to change that by launching a free-to-play version early this year, but it would seem that this move hasn't had the effect they wanted either.
The game's creative director, Randy Varnell, has announced that the upcoming fall update will be the game's last, as most of the developers are moving on to work on the "highly anticipated project" they talked about at PAX West, aka Borderlands 3. However, those of you who still enjoy the game from time to time needn't fret either, as the servers will "be up and active for the foreseeable future". This announcement is just to let us know that there won't be more content coming after the new skins, updated title art, and additional Finisher Boosts and Taunts arrives with the upcoming update.
