Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 will land on the Nintendo Switch in two weeks, and very soon we'll be able to share more impressions and gameplay captured from the adaptation of the highly-acclaimed series from Platinum Games. In the meantime, a new official trailer arrived as of yesterday, which is available below and comes from Nintendo's official channels.

The lengthy video shows the game in 1080p and 60 FPS, and besides crazy combos, fantastic bosses, and over-the-top 'megaton' action, we also see how two new features work. In particular, there's a quick demonstration of the touch-based control scheme (available for both games when in handheld mode), as well as an explanation about the amiibo support, which is offered in Bayonetta 2 to unlock costumes for the witch. Among these you can see Metroid's Samus Aran and StarFox's Fox McCloud.

Finally, there's also some footage showing the console multiplayer co-op too, which you can view below. Which part of Bayonetta has caught your eye?

REVIEW. Written by Markus Hirsilä

"Both titles have their shortcomings, sure, but there's a reason the witch has won the hearts of so many."
