Back in September last year we reported that Warm Lamp Games' Beholder is getting a short film, and now a brand new press release has revealed that it will land on YouTube here as of tomorrow, February 1.

If you want to wait until the Steam film release, this is coming on February 3. As for specific timings, tomorrow we can expect the full release after 08:00 PST (16:00 GMT), with the Steam version coming at the same time two days later.

This short film is produced and directed by Nikita Ordynskiy and Liliya Tkach at Russian studio Kinodom, with the Landlord role filled by actor Evgeniy Stychkin. What's more is that if you have yet to play the game itself, it'll be going on sale via Steam between tomorrow and February 14, having its price reduced by 75%.

"We are preserving the approach that we have developed while working on the Papers, Please adaptation: we try to vividly depict the original game and avoid adding any imagined details. That's why we've decided to go with a black-and-white reproduction, drop the dialogues and stick to a silent movie. We believe that this approach will help us convey the grim atmosphere of the game best," explained Nikita Ordynskiy, Kinodom's founder.

You can watch the short film's trailer down below, and if you're interested in the game itself then be sure to check out our review too.

Do you have high hopes?
