BIG Clan has announced the signing of Josef "faveN" Baumann, bringing the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive star to the team in what is described as a "transfer of unprecedented size". Revealed in a blog post by the esports organisation, FaveN will be joining BIG as a member of its active roster, a move that will see Nicklas "gade" Gade moving to the bench, as BIG looks to see its CS:GO team fighting for a position at the top of the scene.

"I am pleased to announce that Josef "faveN" Baumann will be joining BIG with immediate effect," said Daniel Finkler, BIG Clan CEO. "FaveN has been in the international spotlight with his excellent performances over the last 12 months and has been on the shortlist of many clubs."

As for why this deal is regarded as a "transfer of unprecedented size", it was also revealed by Finkler that this is the most expensive deal for a German player in CS:GO history, with BIG being "absolutely convinced" that FaveN's abilities and qualities will help elevate the team to new heights.

"I'm more than happy to finally become a part of BIG," said FaveN. "Playing for the best German team was always a dream and now it has become reality! My goals with BIG are to first to become a Top 10 team again, and to win big tournaments of course. I'm more motivated than ever and can't wait to play the first games with my new team!"
