Black Desert Online passes $1 billion USD in gross sales

The MMO genre doesn't seem to be slowing down, especially if one looks at the Korean developer Pearl Abyss' game Black Desert Online. The visually beautiful game has seen 18 million players enter its world, resulting in a massive sales milestone.

The studio recently announced that Black Desert Online surpassed $1 billion USD in gross sales, which most definitely isn't too shabby. The game - which launched in Korea, Japan, and Russia back in 2015 and Europe in March of the following year - has since seen worldwide success across its formats and the developer has no plans of slowing down, with more MMOs being planned for the future as well as a global mobile launch for Black Desert Online.
