The esports tournament organiser known for its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive division, BLAST, has announced that it is getting involved in the FIFA 22 scene, by producing the 2021/2022 ePremier League.
Revealed in a press release, we're told that the tournament will feature a £100,000 prize pool and that for the next instalment of the ePL, BLAST has co-created a new online format, which is designed to serve up an "elevated live event experience".
"We're thrilled to team up with the world's most renowned football league, and help them create, develop and deliver this season's ePremier League," said Leo Matlock, MD of development at BLAST. "We're excited at the prospect of engaging with fans from all 20 clubs as they compete to represent their favourite team at the live Grand Finals."
The ePL will continue with the Club Playoffs soon and then the Grand Finals in March, and is set to be broadcasted using BLAST's "industry-leading" production and technology.
