Our Spanish editor David Caballero met up with one of the original creators of the Mortal Kombat franchise, Ed Boon, to discuss his next game - Injustice: Gods Among Us.
This is what Ed Boon had to say about the inevitable comparisons between Injustice: Gods Among Us and the Mortal Kombat series:
"Because we're NetherRealm Studios and we made Mortal Kombat I think it's natural that people would ask the question if we're making a new game, you know, is it going to have Mortal Kombat features in it? Our answer to that is, this is a unique game, it's different, we're not following any kind of Mortal Kombat template or anything. So this game is all about over the top big events - throwing cars, throwing people through buildings, knocking people into outer space, things like that. And Mortal Kombat is more violence, and blood, and all the kind of crazy fatalities that we have in the game."
Sadly, Ed Boon won't be voicing any of the characters in the game:
"I've done voices for Mortal Kombat for 20 years, but I haven't done any of the [voices in Injustice]. This is all professional actors and I'm not a professional actor."
