This weekend saw the first #StayHomeWithPES Tournament, and after some thrilling matches were played out this Sunday, FC Schalke's Nassim Boujellab won after beating Arsenal's Bernd Leno in the final.
Gunners keeper Leno started by registering a 3-0 win over AC Milan's Rafael Leão, and then a 4-1 win against FC Bayern man Javi Martínez. He then made it to the final by hammering Antoine Griezmann 5-1 (that'll teach him for not joining Arsenal when he had the chance, no doubt).
Boujellab, on the other hand, made harder work of his route to the final, beating Celtic's Odsonne Eduoard in extra-time (2-1) and then Juventus' Pjanić 1-0 in the quarters. Despite Leno's 12-goal haul - the tournament's golden boot - Boujellab was able to keep a clean sheet and win 1-0 in the final.
"Competing in eFootball PES was a very different experience to what I'm used to on a weekend afternoon," Boujellab said after his win. "But I really enjoyed the tournament and that it provided a small taste of European football again. I'm very pleased to have won."
