It's been a long while since we've heard anything from Wonderstruck and its project Boundless, a voxel-based game that will feature cross-platform single world multiplayer.

The game has been floating around in Early Access since 2014, when it was announced for PS4 during Sony's press conference at Paris Games Week in 2015. Now, finally, it has a proper, bona fide release date. The game will land on both PC and PS4 on September 11 and is already available for pre-order on PS Store. Wonderstruck is self-publishing on PS4, while Square Enix Collective will publish the game on PC.

"Throughout its Early Access run, we've watched players flourish within Boundless' evolving universe," director James Austin remarked. "Now, with our full launch in September, we're excited to see where they take the full game - especially given that PC and PS4 gamers will all be operating within the same space, crafting and creating with each other within the same worlds."

The six core pillars of the game are "exploration, building, crafting, hunting, trading, and settlement-building" and players will be able to explore a shared universe and carve out their own story, colonising their own planets or helping others in the game.
