It's been a while since Nintendo offered information about The Champions' Ballad, the upcoming DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but according to the DLC plans released by the company, the launch is expected for this year.

That release was recently confirmed to Kotaku by Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime, and although there's still no official release date, Fils-Aime said that this will be coming soon.

We've also recently received a video published on Nintendo's YouTube official channel featuring The Legend of Zelda's producer, Eiji Aonuma, who updates fans on the status of The Champions' Ballad. Aonuma confirmed that the development team is working hard to realise this content, and its launch is still confirmed for 2017.

It's very likely that Nintendo has decided to delay the launch due to Super Mario Odyssey's release, which wouldn't have given much room to this new content. Are you itching to play some more Zelda, or would you rather wait for high quality?
