Tokyo 42, an isometric murder simulator set to come out early next year, has recently been given another gameplay trailer.
The trailer shows gameplay from the Early Alpha version of the game and demonstrates the mechanics of the game. Publishers Mode 7 were very keen to show the fusion between crowd systems and intricate detailing in the levels, the first showing how a large crowd react when the player fires a sniper rifle.
They were also at pains to point out the level design in this trailer, rotating and exploring each to show off the work that has been put into them by developers SMAC Games. The bright colours and vibrant style remain and are built upon as well as the geometric layouts of the locations in the game.
Various other levels apart from the one already seen in previous trailers are revealed too and demonstrate the different styles of play available, including stealth and skilful manoeuvres like difficult jumps. A lot of combat was shown as well, the video pointing out the usefulness of cover and the dynamic style of shooting as evident from previous gameplay videos. It is clear that the game is much more complex than first anticipated and that there's a lot of potential for Tokyo 42.
