BTCC official game and esports series planned for 2022

Motor Sports Games has inked a multi-year deal to develop an official next-gen experience for the British Touring Car Championship, with a planned release for 2022. The forthcoming title will also be supported by an official esports series to showcase its greatest players.

Alan Gow, BTCC Chief Executive, said: "Finally, I'm proud to say that the huge demand from the BTCC and TOCA game fans is being answered. Just like the original BTCC/TOCA game, this will be a dedicated BTCC game featuring all the cars, all the teams, all the drivers and all the circuits - not merely some elements partially incorporated into an existing game".

We know little about the project other than its planned release window and ambitions as an esport. We can at least say that it is in good hands, as developer Motor Sports Games has an extensive history creating entries in officially licensed motorsports franchises.
