After loads of rumours regarding name, the logo, and the direction that Activision is taking the action franchise after last year's throwback to World War II, we finally got to know a little bit more about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 yesterday. A new detail regarding the game's distribution-platform popped up during the night, and it seemed a little too interesting not to report on.

It looks like Activision is looking to borrow Blizzard's distribution platform Battle.net for the PC version of the game. This was "announced" via the official Call of Duty site and in the new update, users can link their Battle.net account with their existing Call of Duty account.

This wouldn't be the first time Activision does this after last year's Destiny 2 was distributed exclusively via Battle.net on PC. The platform had previously only been used by Blizzard for titles like World of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo, but with Activision starting to utilize the service, we might be looking at a different kind of future for the platform.

Black Ops 4 is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 12th.
