Guns and booze don't mix. That's just plain ol' common sense, yet it's advice that Call of Duty pro streamer Carl Riemer is no doubt wishing he'd followed after making a career-ending mistake during a livestream this week.

After having imbibed some alcohol (we're not sure how much) the pro streamer started playing around with his Glock handgun in front of his audience, and, thinking it was empty but forgetting to check the barrel, he pulled the trigger and fired off a solitary shot. Luckily nobody was hurt.

The cost of his mistake was the suspension of his Twitch account, and SoaR Gaming has since confirmed that he has been removed from their roster, with a Tweet confirming his expulsion from the organisation:

"We do not condone the actions on livestream by Carl last night. He has been removed from the SoaR Gaming roster effective immediately."

With such swift and severe repercussions, Riemer is naturally very sorry about the situation. In his apology he says:

"Don't do what I did. Ever. Literally everything was going perfectly in life and one mistake ruined everything I've been doing for year. I cannot put into words how sorry I am and how dangerous what I did last night was."

REVIEW. Written by Andreas Juul

"Does this make for a paradigm shift for first-person shooters? No, but it's nothing short of spectacular nonetheless."
