Castle of Illusion remake will be removed from stores tomorrow

In 2013 Sega released a remake of the classic Mega Drive platformer, Castle of Illusion: Starring Mickey Mouse. That game however, will soon be made unavailable for purchase.

Sega has confirmed to Polygon, that due to an expired business deal with Disney, Sega is forced to remove the game from Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and Steam starting tomorrow, and it will not be made available at a later time.

If you purchase the game before then, you will, however, be able to re-download it at a later time should you want to. It's only the store listing that's being removed.

Castle of Illusion: Starring Mickey Mouse is available to play on PS3, PC, Xbox 360 as well as Xbox One through backwards compatibility.
