Celebrate 20 years of Sonic

2012 might be the year of the Olympics and the end of the world, but at least this year we've something to celebrate as Sega's blue mascot turns the big 2-0, with the Japanese publisher launching a teaser Anniversary site to make the year ahead.

We know that Sega are planning something big to celebrate the longest-living hedgehog on record (Sonic's normal-coloured chums only last around a decade on average), with two or three announcements happening early this year.

2010 saw Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 and Sonic Free Riders released to mixed reception.
