With Lunar New Year festivities in full force worldwide, it's about time The Sims joined in. Simply patch your Sims 4 game right now and you can unlock all the tools necessary to celebrate the Year of the Pig in style, as revealed on the game's website.

The update contains stylish new outfits for adults and kids; a kumquat tree; a traditional place setting for a family feast; an orange centrepiece; delicious dumplings and mud carp; red envelopes; and loads of new home decorations. The only thing that's missing is a festive dancing dragon, we'd say.

As well as the release of this new update, EA is hosting an Origin sale, where you can find massive savings on select packs like The Sims 4: Get Famous are available (which we recently reviewed).

A lot of games are getting into the festivities with Lunar New Year events too, as Overwatch and Hearthstone are introducing plenty of goodies and Valve has even introduced the Lunar New Year Sale for Steam.

Are you going to celebrate the Lunar New Year with your Sims though? Perhaps the new image below might help you decide.
