With Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Charles Martinet became the first voice actor to perform 100 times for the same character, which in this case is of course Nintendo's Super Mario. The actor has shared the milestone with fans on his Instagram, while still at Guinness World Records offices.
The Californian actor - who has also worked on movies such as The Game and other games such as Runner 3 - started performing Mario for a couple of rare projects in the early '90s, but it wasn't until Super Mario 64 that he became popular worldwide, and Mario's voice was his from then on.
With Illumination and Shigeru Miyamoto working on the brand new Super Mario animated feature, it'll probably be Martinet's deepest and most complex performance for the character, although his presence hasn't been confirmed yet.
What did you think when you first heard "It's-A-Me, Mario!" from the character? Here's an old interview Martinet gave with his "favourite" game channel, while you think.
