Check out the first image from the Sleeping Dogs movie

It's been six years since Sleeping Dogs was released, and over a year since Deadline kickstarted rumours about a possible movie. The information has since proved accurate, however, this after actor Donnie Yen shared the first image of the movie. Posted on Instagram and visible below, the Star Wars: Rogue One actor gives us a glimpse of what we can expect, adding:

"Sometimes great things take a bit of time. Sleeping Dog is motion, you guys ready for this?"

Also according to Deadline, Neal Moritz is directing the movie. Moritz is known for his work on XXX and the Fast and Furious series; in short, he's a man accustomed to making action movies. Here's hoping this is one video game that makes a successful transition to the big screen (that said, even those that don't translate well can still be fun.
