It's been a fair few years since Cloud9 won a top-tier Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament, but that drought is now over as the baby blue team has been crowned the Intel Extreme Masters Dallas champions.

The esports organisation had to fight tooth and nail for the tournament following being pushed into the lower bracket during its run in Group B. It was here that Cloud9 faced elimination but managed to remain headstrong and earn a spot in the playoffs lower bracket, where it once again had to stave off elimination by defeating a list of the top teams from around the world.

After knocking out FaZe Clan and BIG, Cloud9 found itself in the grand finals where it faced ENCE (a team who was undefeated up until this point). C9 proved its grit and ended up defeating ENCE 3-0 overall, a victory that secured the trophy and $100,000 of the prize pool as an added bonus.
