Cloud9 has announced the decision to part ways with their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive head coach Aleksandar "Kassad" Trifunović. The decision comes in a tweet, leaving very little information regarding the roster move, however the tweet does read;

"Thank you for everything you've done to help lay the foundations for the Colossus. We wish you the best in the future!"

Since Kassad has only been with the organisation since September in the head coach position, the stark removal begs the question of why, as over his stay, Kassad led the team to multiple podium results across several tournaments.

As CS:GO usually slows down over the holiday / new year period, Cloud9's next tournament won't be until February when the Intel Extreme Masters XV - World Championship kicks-off. This of course does leave plenty of time to fill the head coach role, but we can also expect an announcement soon most likely.
