The MMA news site MMAJunkie had an opportunity to try out the new EA Sports UFC 2 recently and they noted some interesting details, not just about various gameplay improvements, but also in regards of what promises to be a vastly expanded roster of fighters. They noted rather unknown fighters as Clay Collard and Alexandra Albu and said you'll be hardpressed to think of a ranked fighter that's not in the game. One interesting addition is CM Punk, the former WWE star who signed with the UFC in December, 2014, who has yet to make his MMA debut. CM Punk, or Phil Brooks, has been hampered by injuries as he has transitioned from make belief pro wrestling to the rather serious mixed martial arts scene and now it appears likely that he will make his MMA debut in a video game prior to actually stepping into the Octagon for the real thing.
EA Sports UFC 2 is currently slated for release in March, 2016.
